Obama's 'not emotional'? Gimme A Break!

Nothing points out better our inexorable slide from real news to infotainment than the recent media clamor over Obama's supposed lack of emotional involvement in the BP oil crisis.

How dare we? How dare we presume to critique, not what's in the heart of a sitting president, but his ability to demonstrate visibly its contents to our vaunted media machine.

Obama's entire life has been spent in precarious social positions, bouncing around the world throughout his childhood, viscerally exposed to more than a normal share of Life's trials and ambiguities; that he is where he is is a stunning tribute to his heart and emotion.
We've already had one actor for President; we don't need another.
