His voice was grating, his syntax abominable, and he was completely ignorant of the intangible heart and soul of sports. He bit the hand that fed him (the Mets, the Yankees) ridiculed hockey, and didn't have a clue about the intricacies and passions surrounding local college basketball. It is this writer's humble opinion that Mike Francesa had to 'dumb down' his legendary expertise to accommodate this a-hole; New York, the Fan and Francesa are better off. (And we don't have to hear about San Francisco any more. Now, if we could only evict him from the area and send him back to Orlando...)
