WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Hillary Clinton will be symbolically put forward as a presidential candidate at the Democratic convention later this month even though she narrowly lost the nominating battle to Barack Obama, the two campaigns said on Thursday.

Bad idea. Just as bad as when Egon, in the film 'Ghostbusters,' suggests that crossing the streams of their unlicensed nuclear accelerators will destroy Gozar.
The skinny on this idea is that it will be symbolic, that it will bring the Clinton/Obama factions together, and they'll all march out of Colorado singing 'The Battle Hymn of the Republic.'
It's just not gonna happen, folks. There are nasty Clinton factions out there, and I'm betting they'll take this opportunity not only to protest and disrupt the convention, but also somehow to resurrect the Clinton flag for one last suicide run up the ramparts. I hope I'm wrong. I pray I'm wrong, but I've seen too much whining, wailing and weeping from disgruntled Clintonites to think otherwise.
Three Our Fathers, three Hail Marys, say a good Act of Contrition -- maybe this nightmare will go away.
